Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) has just organized a propaganda program to raise awareness of “Aviation security and safety culture”.

This activity aims to raise awareness, responsibility and build a strong safety and security culture among all officers and employees of the Corporation, contributing to strengthening the awareness of proactive risk prevention, ensuring absolute safety and security in flight management and operations.

Overview of the event.

Speaking at the meeting, VATM Deputy General Director Nguyen Van Tien - Head of the Steering Committee of the campaign “Raising awareness of aviation security and safety culture” emphasized the importance of culture in ensuring aviation security and safety as well as optimizing the operation and service provision of the Corporation.

According to Deputy General Director Nguyen Van Tien, culture is the softest but most sustainable layer of protection of the system, requiring all employees, from leaders to employees, to truly believe, apply in practice, share and learn to maintain a positive cultural foundation throughout the Corporation.

The program focuses on promoting the contents of safety culture, implementing in the direction of building a foundation by defining the concept and core principles of culture, thereby specifically defining common cultural layers...

At the event, the reporters also pointed out the "soft gaps" commonly encountered in life and work, such as: convenient habits, easygoing mentality, subjectivity when operating with hands; updating points to note about digital security in the ATM environment and the principle of "no speculation - always verify" when receiving strange requests.

In addition, the reporters also pointed out the important foundation for ensuring information security and network security - typically the System Security and Information Security Policy (Decision 536/QD-QLB dated January 24, 2025) and the Cyber Security Implementation Plan for the period 2025-2030 (Decision 5748/QD-QLB dated August 22, 2025). These are important steps, creating a legal framework, management mechanism and clear direction for the entire Corporation.

In particular, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Thanh - Deputy Head of Bo De Ward Police, Hanoi City also shared valuable information on security issues in the region and the world, and also provided approaches to ensure security and defense for specific key facilities. The program is an important bridge to help Bo De Ward police officers gain a deeper understanding of the specifics of the aviation industry in general and the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation in particular. This is the basis for strong coordination activities to ensure security and safety between Bo De Ward Police and the Corporation.
