Ministerial Activities

The PM has issued a housing-support policy for poor households (based on Decision No. 167/2008/QĐ-TTg dated August 12th, 2008 on housing loan support) to help 311,000 poor households in rural areas.


Hanoi (August 4th, 2015) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung awarded the Finnish Embassador in Vietnam, Mr. Kimmo Lahdevirta, a Medal for the cause of the Construction Industry in presence of his wife and members of the Finnish Embassy in Vietnam.


Hanoi (July 31st, 2015) - Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh received and worked with Mr. Chang Jae Yun - Chief representative of KOICA Vietnam Office on the Green City project at the headquarter of the MOC.


Hanoi (July 29th, 2015) - Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung worked with Mr. Cherdsek Niyomsilpa - Senior Manager being in charge of building materials, Siam Cement Public Company Limited (SCG) Thailand.


Hanoi (July 22nd, 2015) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung awarded the German Embassador in Vietnam, Mrs. Jutta Frasch, a Medal for the cause of the Construction Industry in presence of her husband and members of the German Embassy in Vietnam. 


Over 22,200 households have signed borrowing contracts worth 10.1 trillion VND (466 million USD) with commercial banks under the Government’s 30 trillion VND (1.4 billion USD) housing credit stimulus scheme, said Head of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management Nguyen Manh Ha.


Hanoi (July 17th, 2015) – Deputy Minister Pham Hong Ha and the MOC’s mission worked with the AMC on their activities in the first 6 months of 2015 and results of the Project “Training, improving capacity of leaders, managers and officials in Construction Industry in terms of construction investment and urban development” (named Project 1961).


Hanoi (July 15th, 2015) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung hosted a meeting interpreting the Law of Construction 2014 and Decree No 59/2015/ND-CP on managing construction investment project. This meeting is considered as an opportunity for the Ministry of Construction to clarify major contents of the Law of Construction (revised) 2014 and the Decree No 59/2015/ND-CP to the media, experts as well as managers in Construction Industry.


Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung said in a TV interview on July 12 that the government has introduced various solutions to restructure the market, which started freezing in 2010.


Hanoi (July 9th, 2015) – Minister Trinh Dinh Dung, accompanied by Deputy Ministers Pham Hong Ha, Nguyen Dinh Toan, Bui Pham Khanh, Phan Thi My Linh and Le Quang Hung, hosted a meeting reviewing the MOC’s activities in June and the first 6 months of 2015, outlining the MOC’s activities in July and the last 6 months of 2015. Attending the meeting there were also representatives from the Government Office and heads of units under the MOC’s management.
